Emergengcy Tornado Rebuild - After

May1, 1996

Kornhaas Construction, Inc.
Attention: Kim Kornhaas

Dear Mr. Kornhaas

Last year on May 7, 1995, the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Manufacturing Plant in Ardmore, Oklahoma was severely damaged by a tornado; therefore resulting in a crisis that challenged everyone involved in rebuilding this plant, especially with our ambitious goal to resume full production within 12 weeks.

On June 5, 1995, the first tire was made and the plant returned to full production ahead of the 12 week target. This was nothing short of remarkable.

Our success was largely due to the loyal, hard working people who responded with speed to get the job done. Many worked seven days a week, for several weeks, giving up time with their families. Contractors and suppliers joined in a cooperative spirit, sometimes putting aside their own needs, to help one another.

Your company put forth special and extraordinary efforts. We, therefore, extend our deepest gratitude to everyone on your team.

As a token of our appreciation, please accept these framed photographs of our plant before and after the reconstruction.

I hope you will keep these as a reminder, not only of our gratitude, but of what can be accomplished with the commitment of dedicated people, such as those in your organization.

Sincerely,
Anthony R. Sesny

Rising To The Challenge Leads To Repeat Business

0n a balmy Spring afternoon in May 1995, the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Manufacturing Plant in Ardmore, Okla. was critically damaged by a tornado, placing the plant's production in a state of crisis. Kornhaas Construction was contacted and a goal established to have the plant back in full production within 12 weeks. Kornhaas, aided by a team effort that included many other contractors and suppliers, met the challenge and had the first tire rolling off the assembly line even ahead of the 12-week target date.

Since that time, Kornhaas Construction has worked on many other key projects for Uniroyal Goodrich. The most recent began construction on January 1, the expansion of a 28,000 sf building adjoining the existing plant. Once again, a challenging goal was set, and construction crews are working 12 hours a day, seven days a week, to meet the objective. The new facility will house the mini spare tire presses due to arrive for installation on March 9.  Kornhaas Construction is proud to have played a part in the growth of local industry in Oklahoma. By listening to and understanding our customers' needs, as well as providing cost effective services, it has been possible for Kornhaas to provide construction services on a repeat basis for the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Manufacturing Plant in Ardmore.
