Kornhaas Construction Celebrating
30 Years of Excellence, 1973-2003

Kim Kornhaas

A tradition of teamwork, experience and innovation has propelled Kornhaas Construction to its high level of success. People have come to know and trust the Kornhaas name and its service to the community.

This year, Kornhaas Construction will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Its tradition of quality building started in 1973 when M.J. Kornhaas constructed several single-family houses. He soon gained a reputation for the excellent craftsmanship in his fine quality homes, the result of having worked as a master carpenter for 20 years prior to founding his own company. M.J. has retired from the construction industry to do what he loves best-ranching.

Kim Kornhaas, M.J. and Grace's son, began his career 28 years ago, working for the company as a laborer on custom residential and commercial building projects. He later advanced to carpenter, superintendent, project manager and estimator, and now is the president and principal stock holder of Kornhaas Construction.

Kornhaas specializes in commercial and industrial buildings, with extensive experience in the construction of medical facilities, research laboratories, schools, churches, restaurants and industrial projects. The company is an active member of the Jack Miller Network, Associated General Contractors of America and the Southern Oklahoma Builders Association. Among the most prominent builders in Oklahoma and Northern Texas, the name "Kornhaas" is well-known and well-respected..

Butler Building Systems:

A Practical Solution
To Building

Time…Is saved because the structural steel and roof have already been designed by the Butler engineers.

Money…Is saved because pre-engineering saves planning time and design cost.

Construction…Goes faster because Butler systems are designed to fit together quickly without lots of expensive field work and modifications.

Bottom line…Quicker occupancy at lower construction and financing costs.

.

Mission Statement
"Our mission is to plan, design, and construct the best quality building to meet our clients' needs. As is our tradition, our professional team will deliver a quality building, within budget, in a safe and timely manner."

Have You Considered Design/Build?

The concept is to work as a Team. The design/build approach replaces the traditional method of awarding separate contracts for design and construction. On a design/build job, the contractor, designers, subcontractors and owner work together as one to build a project that meets or exceeds the owner's expectations. Team members focus on solving problems together rather than placing blame.

What are its advantages?

  • Early cost input from contractor and a guaranteed maximum price
  • Team concept produces the best ideas through a cooperative team spirit
  • Design and contractor fees are kept to minimum
  • Time can be saved
  • Eliminates change orders
  • Legal fees are kept to minimum
  • Construction costs are minimized
  • Misunderstandings are minimized
  • Completion dates are realistic
